Overview

The F02 pressure transmitter is especially designed for applications in mobile machines where meeting safety standards is a priority. The EMC characteristics, as well as the shock and vibration resistance, are engineered with these demanding areas of application in mind. The F02 is suitable for safety-critical applications, which require a PLd (Cat.2) or SIL2-Level. This facilitates applications known for the most challenging ambient conditions, such as in the field of mobile hydraulics.

Connections

The default electrical and pressure combination for the F01 is an M12-connector with stainless steel thread, and a G1/4 pressure connection. However, a host of custom pressure connections allows for maximum customizability. With the default M12 connector, the parts coming into contact with media are made of stainless steel and guarantee, in combination with the welded thin-film measurement cell, maximum media compatibility. Furthermore, an optional damping unit can be integrated into the media access.

Safety Tested

The pressure transmitter has an E1-approval and is manufactured using the latest manufacturing methods according to ISO/TS 16949. Furthermore, it fulfills the strict requirements of Performance Level d acc. DIN EN ISO 13849-1. An IP67 stainless steel housing, and with a welded stainless steel measuring cell inside, and full quality testing of every sensor STW manufactures, has led to the impressive qualification results it holds today, like SIL2. The metrics across conformity, EMC, shock and vibration, and functional safety tests produced an impressive MBTF of over 100 years.
