The latest in our portfolio is the HPX-ai.vision, our high-performance control platform engineered for the future of intelligent mobile machines. With advanced processing power designed to support AI applications, machine vision systems, and edge computing, HPX-ai.vision enables next-generation capabilities such as object detection, autonomous functions, predictive maintenance, and real-time decision-making directly on the machine. As equipment becomes more automated, electrified, and data-driven, OEMs need computing platforms that can handle complex algorithms and large data streams – without sacrificing durability. Originally founded in 1985 in Germany, a company was created in the United States to service the North American market. From this time-tested foundation, we learned that our solution set can apply to virtually any mobile machine industry.

STW Technic has a unique controller architecture with optional expansion boards to customize your device. Our controllers are also freely programmable – giving you full access to all hardware functionality and allowing you to use a variety of programming options – from ANSI standard C to IEC 1131-3 compliant graphical programs such as MATLAB.
Leadership Team
Andres is responsible for co-owning STW Technic's corporate strategy alongside the CEO and executive team, while leading the company's overall product and technology direction. Originally from Colombia and based in Atlanta since 2008, Andres has spent nearly 15 years growing with STW Technic.
Andres joined STW in 2011 as an Applications Engineer, where he focused on code development and designing tailored solutions for customers. Over the following decade, he advanced through roles in project management and engineering management before being appointed Director of Engineering & Product Development in March 2021. During that time, he doubled the size of the engineering and product teams, launched STW Technic's Engineering Services in collaboration with Sales and Marketing, and directed the company's IoT development efforts.
In April 2025, Andres was promoted to Chief Product & Technology Officer in recognition of his strategic impact and technical leadership. In this capacity, he leads STW Technic's product and technology strategy, ensuring alignment with customer needs, scalability, and cybersecurity. He brings a long-term view to technology decisions and believes in sustaining innovation by building the teams, healthy processes, and culture where people do their best work.
Andres holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a User Experience (UX) Design certification from General Assembly.
Carson joined STW Technic as President at the beginning of 2020. Carson has more than 20 years of experience in engineering and technology leadership and development roles. He is responsible for STW’s business in North America. Prior to STW, Carson worked at Bridgestone Americas as Director of Technology Products and Operations, U.S. and Canada. In this role, Carson developed next generation mobility solutions for Bridgestone’s commercial tire customers. Before Bridgestone, Carson was President of Wema Americas, a leading worldwide supplier of sensors for diesel fuel and emission control applications in heavy vehicles. There, he was responsible for managing Wema’s operations in North and South America. Carson has an Engineering degree with highest honors from Georgia Tech, a degree in Economics from the University of Michigan, and an MBA from Vanderbilt University.
Heide joined STW Technic in 2023 and is our Chief Financial Officer. Originally from Germany, Heide has over 20 years of experience working with international companies with a focus on Administration, Finance, and Accounting using her multi-cultural and bi-lingual skills. Before joining STW Technic, she worked for a service provider supporting European companies in establishing their business in the US providing Backoffice services including Administration and HR, Warehousing, Customer Service, and Accounting. Heide has lived in the Atlanta area since 1996 and has a degree in International Business Administration from the University of Düsseldorf, Germany.
John is STW Technic’s Chief Commercial Officer. John has more than 20 years of experience in the mobile controls market and has an extensive knowledge of mobile machine application and design. He joined the machine automation world immediately after completing his EE degree at University of Central Florida and began work solving real world applications with OEMs and machine builders. His extraordinary success in technical sales resulted in subsequent promotions to branch and regional sales management during his 12 year tenure at IFM. When IFM entered the mobile controls marketplace, John was chosen to launch the effort and was key in building their business in this new area. Since joining our company in early 2010, John has had a tremendous impact on our success and continues to play a vital role in shaping the vision for STW Technic.
