You need a compatible device (TCG4, TCG.nano, TCG5, or supported Linux hardware), a place to host the Beacon Docker container (Azure, AWS, on-prem, or local), and an Azure subscription for provisioning and security services.
STW Technic provides the Beacon Docker container, a REST API, device software, documentation, and a reference front-end template. Beacon manages provisioning, security, OTA updates, and device lifecycle services so you can build the customer-facing experience.
Yes! Beacon uses Azure for device provisioning and lifecycle management, but your backend, analytics, and applications can run in AWS, Azure, on-prem, or other cloud environments.
Yes! While Beacon is fully supported on TCG4, TCG.nano, and TCG5, it can also run on Linux-based third-party hardware with TPM support. Some integration effort may be required.
We do not, as Beacon is not a telematics SaaS platform. We provide the backend infrastructure allowing you to retain control over your dashboards, analytics, and workflows.
